The WhatsApp pop-chat feature is available for some beta testers and can be accessed in update version 2.2407.9.0. A feature named “Pop-out chat” has been introduced in the chat options. This feature allows users to detach individual chat windows from the main WhatsApp interface, converting them into standalone, resizable windows that can be placed anywhere on the desktop. This enables users to participate in multiple conversations simultaneously without the necessity of constantly switching between them within the main app.
WhatsApp is revolutionizing multitasking with its pop-out chat feature, currently being tested by Windows beta users. This innovative feature empowers you to:
- Detach individual chat windows from the main app, creating independent spaces for each conversation.
- Resize and reposition these windows freely across your desktop, allowing for personalized organization and easy access.
This functionality eliminates the need to constantly switch between chats within the main app, enabling you to:
- Boost your productivity: Respond to messages from various contacts or groups simultaneously, fostering efficient communication workflows.
- Optimize communication clarity: Allocate a dedicated window to each conversation, ensuring crucial messages don’t get buried or overlooked among other chat threads.
- Enhance organization: Strategically arrange chat windows on your desktop to visually prioritize and manage your conversations, streamlining your communication experience.
While currently limited to Windows beta testers, the pop-out chat feature is expected to be progressively rolled out to all users in a forthcoming update, bringing the convenience of seamless multitasking to the wider WhatsApp community.
This feature enhances communication and significantly boosts productivity, particularly for users who manage numerous conversations throughout the day or need to read more chats at once. In addition, for users collaborating on projects or coordinating group activities, we believe that this feature may further facilitate communication by providing a dedicated window for each conversation,” mentions the report.
WhatsApp now allow users to search messages by date
WhatsApp has revealed the rollout of the “search by date” feature for personal and group chats on Android devices. This functionality, previously accessible on other platforms such as iOS, Mac desktop, and WhatsApp Web, enables users to search for a specific message, photo, or video sent on a particular date. Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, announced this update on his WhatsApp channel.
“When you realize you’ve got the perfect response in an old chat…” he said, sharing a video of him searching for an old chat about Karaoke. “Credit to WhatsApp’s new search by date feature,” he added.
